The moment I saw a photo of Jeff Besoz, the founder and CEO of Amazon.com, showing up with the sweetest thing ever…I knew my heart was beating uncontrollably fast for a reason.
I am in loooooooooooveeeeeeee!

What do you think? Isn’t he such a swoon-worthy possession?:P No, I’m not talking about Mr. Besoz! It’s the Amazon Kindle - the ultimate ebook reader! It’s aesthetically pleasing, seemingly manageable and all powerful!
Well, I am not sure if he’s indeed flawless. Some customers have to scrutinize and review him first so that I’d know if he’s good enough for me. LOL.

I’d definitely choose this over an iPhone or that Google Phone which turned out to be just Android - the software for mobile devices including OS and key applications to make the actual mobile phone work as a PC. Haha. Anyway, let’s go back to Amazon Kindle. Do you know that it costs as much as the 8GB iPhone? Yes, it’s worth $399. And if you’re thinking that you could only read downloadable eBooks with this, na-ah. You can subscribe to your favorite blogs and it automatically receives updates throughout the day. It even has a dictionary to help you grasp the meaning of a word which you sometimes think is just made-up by the author. Haha. Plus, every unit has an assigned email address - so you could send all your personal paraphernalia such as word documents, jpeg files, etc and have it “wirelessly delivered” to your Kindle. So how does it work? They said it’s so simple that even a moron could make it kick. Haha. Know more about it at Engadget.
Besoz said that he’s always been into teletype ever since he was young which is why he believes that they cannot out-book the book…
We can’t out-book the book, but could use this new medium to go beyond… I’m proud after 3 years of development to announce the Amazon Kindle.
And if you could remember me saying that I enjoy reading from the physical copy of book, that’s true. I don’t think this could ever replace the scent of the freshly-opened book you just bought or just the contentment you feel each time you look at your book shelf slowly being stacked with some books signed by the author and you got as a present or great books you got at a bargain price. Haha! Mind you, I have never downloaded an eBook because I’m not sure if I really wanted to spend the whole time reading on a device (okay, off a computer screen) and I have this fixation for leafing through the pages. I once downloaded an audio book but, it put me to sleep in no time. Haha.
The only good thing about Amazon Kindle is that it’s pretty and perfect for backpacking. Imagine not having to carry around those thick and heavy books in your backpack. Unlike with PDAs, you could adjust the font size of the text and the thing assumes the size of a real book.
Good enough, right? Now, I have another one added on top of my wish list!
I wonder though if it includes a stylus to edit Word docs and to highlight your favorite lines in your eBook.
Yes, but does the thing wash windows, too?
