Which Sex and the City Character Are You, Really?!

May 29, 2008

*Just my two cents, I seriously think this poster sucks

Okay so a few days back, a friend told me that she thinks her character match was Samantha Jones and she asked me who was mine. But since I know I’m like no other (haha), I couldn’t identify myself with any of them. Freeze, on second thoughts, I think I have a dash of qualities of Carrie and Miranda in me (when they have finally matured!). Meaning I can be cynical yet emotionally-inclined at times. I am logical, I tend to justify everything, yet when it’s time to let my feelings go - I let it flow like there’s no tomorrow (haha). Telling my heart to act unsympathetic towards my thoughts. It happens, you know, those times when your mind overpowers your emotions and tells you HOW you should feel - to feel numb. And what do you know? It works for me. It’s the mind power. When you’ve trained it for years to work that way, sometimes it’s uncontrollable.

Just to prove that I was right about my guess, I took a few quizzes. ;) Dig this: Nobody really knows me better than myself, but you see, I am no mystery (really now?). You get what you see, just a blueprint of labyrinth on my face. haha.

So here’s the result I got from Brainfall.

Which Sex and the City Character Are You?

You are Carrie. You know what you want out of a relationship and you’re not afraid to keep moving until you get it. Wit and charm are your biggest turn-ons, and you like guys who appreciate you for your mind as much as your body. You have fun playing the dating game, but secretly you just can’t wait to find the guy who sweeps you off your feet and carries you into the sunset.

And the down-to-the-last-detail interpretation…

Sex and the City: The Four Women, the Four Elements

You scored 40% Miranda (Earth Sign)

You chose many of the same answers that Earth Sign-like Miranda, the cynical but pragmatic lawyer, might have chosen.

And it says that…(indicating only the closest characteristics similar to mine)

Just like Miranda, you get a tough time deciding whether to give in to the affections…you don’t give your heart up to just anyone. - CHECK.

Those with powerful Earth Sign qualities — characteristics associated with Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn — are cautious in love. Provides a steady, realistic attitude and they can bring order out of chaos. -CHECK.

You scored 30% Carrie

Like confident Carrie, a sex columnist, you’re curious and perceptive, always seeking answers and never satisfied with the superficial. - CHECK.
You’d be utterly bored by someone who’s just a pretty face or hot body — CHECK. (should be in ALL CAPS. lol)

You’re more turned on by an equally smart and funny mate, someone who challenges your mind and makes you laugh. You love to talk, so you need a good listener. - CHECK.

You scored 20% Samantha

You identify with Samantha’s bold and liberated Fire Sign qualities, characteristics associated with the Signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

You’re strong, audacious and larger than life — and you take what you want! - CHECK. (It’s weird though, I am a fire sign but I am nothing close to this one. haha!)

You scored 10% Charlotte

A romantic at heart, you chose the answers that demure Charlotte may have chosen. Strongly influenced by the intuitive, profound and sometimes naïve Water Signs — Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces — you’re like a mother, a mystery and a poet all in one. - Surely I am. CHECK! :P

I saw the film yesterday and I am thankful I wasn’t one of SATC die-hard fanatics bitching about how bad this movie has been made - so no disappointments for me because no high expectations were imposed! ;) I’d like to just sit in the theater not scrutinizing the changes in each character and just laugh when it’s really really funny (yeah, are you hearing Carrie say the words?). I admit, I don’t run home to catch them on TV huddled with my girlfriends in pjs. I only watch SATC episodes when I can or when I’m left at home without a choice though I am updated with the progress of their lives. Got it through gossips and celebrity watch! LOL! So what I’m saying is, it’s not bad but I just never got hooked on it. And I don’t talk about it (pour out my ranting and raving over the show and all) with my girlfriends as much as I did with Dawson’s Creek, Friends, OTH, House MD and Prison Break. See? That’s the result of constant taste-upgrading (in loads of stuff) and the chick flick’s on only when I’m in the mood. Haha! But come on, I never really got addicted to anything, you know me. ;)

So my verdict?! It’s a good touchy-feely movie and I could say it’s just what I needed at the moment. Something to make me feel optimistic just when I thought Carrie would forever be single. And I’m not going to deny, there was one bit there that almost made me turn into a weepie. Haha! Yeah, maybe deciding marrying over 30 isn’t a normally-scoffed-at idea after all, eh?

It’s not logic, but feelings.

That movie also made me examine my wardrobe, checking out if I still have any sense of style and if I could still pull it off. Oh boy, no..of course I’m not going to be any of SATC girls. First what they wear is not doable in this kind of city life although some elements are workable. Secondly, I’m petite so I stick with the rules and limit myself to coordinated colors from head to toe. ;) Plus, it’s not my attitude. Mind you, I’ve always worn dresses until the age of 12 but now, even if I still have untouched dresses hanging in the closet - I know I’d only use it when I have to. Haha! But for that reason, I’m going to play dress up and maybe post some pics? ;) Yup, “maybe” next time.

Extra:
One of my all-time favorite lounge music is on the OST list! My heart stopped! ;)
